F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- In a large hangar with crates, boxes and other supplies is a small mobility team making a difference on a global scale before winter comes at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, Sept. 29, 2022.
As part of an effort across the Department of Defense to provide foreign aid, the 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron’s mobility flight packed and shipped 111 parkas to the front lines in Eastern Europe.
“For my team to have the opportunity to do something like this shows them what they do every day is important and can have an international impact,” said 2nd Lt. Kevin Lee, 90 LRS supply flight commander.
With winter coming, LRS airmen of all ranks understand the importance and quickly sorted and packed the parkas to supply the items filling a need for allied personnel.
“We are shipping them warmth, which will help them stay safe and warm to get through the mission,” said Airman 1st Class Destiny Smith, 90 LRS mobility journeyman.
