Taking care of each othere -- 101 Critical Days of Summer Published May 28, 2013 By Maj. Gen. Michael Carey 20th Air Force commander F. E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- TEAM: As we get ready to enter what is arguably our favorite time of year, and if not your favorite then certainly an important time for our team. I'd like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for the hard work, dedication and outstanding wingmanship you have shown during my first year in command. While we haven't been perfect in every area, and as always there is room to improve; time and again you have shown how highly professional and dedicated you are. This coming summer lends us another opportunity to demonstrate that! Recently the 91st Missile Wing commander asked his senior non-commissioned officers to help make sure his wing paid special attention to the health, morale and welfare of the force during what has traditionally been a rough April and May for the warriors of Minot. I'm proud to report that his, and their, efforts have made a tremendous difference this year! I find it amazing what we are all capable of when we pull together and put our collective efforts towards any task. Today, I wish you, your families and loved ones all a safe and happy holiday, I also ask that you take a little more time to think through your activities, plan well and look out for the person next to you ... the goal is "zero" losses...each of you is key to achieving that! Every Airmen, at all levels -- Airmen with the big "A" ... Guard, Active, Reserve and civilian -- is a leader! To the leaders at every level, this may be the most important grade you get on your report card each and every year! My utmost respect goes to all of you for the awesome effort you put forth in providing our nation, and its closest allies, an umbrella of freedom and security! Enjoy your summer and take care of yourself, your families and your fellow Airmen! Maj Gen Carey -- A.K.A. Airman Carey
