Stephanie O’Sullivan, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Lt. Col. Sylvette Ortiz, 20th Air Force Safety and Nuclear Surety director, Chief Master Sgt. Jack Johnson, command chief/command senior enlisted leader NATO, Allied Command Transformation, and Chief Master Sgt. Trisha Malec, 811th Force Support Squadron superintendent, answer questions during the diversity panel at the second 20th AF Women’s Leadership Symposium at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., Sept. 27, 2016. Both male and female Airmen who attended discussed several topics with military senior leaders such as mentorship, gender inclusion and persevering through challenges. The three-day event supports 20th AF’s goal to coach, train and mentor nuclear professionals and leaders, while developing a nuclear command environment that fosters understanding, respect and the support necessary for people to thrive.
