Road Warrior exercise tests defenders’ combat capabilities
A UH-1N Huey from the 582nd Helicopter Group soars overhead as it provides convoy aerial support during the annual Road Warrior exercise at Camp Guernsey, Wyo., Sept. 26, 2017. Road Warrior is a three-week exercise which involves missile defenders, maintainers, a helicopter group and Air Force Office of Special Investigations from the three missile wings under Air Force Global Strike command. Practicing their tactics and procedures in a controlled environment allows convoy personnel to find and correct any vulnerabilities which could lessen the safety, security and effectiveness of the nuclear deterrence mission.
