MAFB breaks ground on Missile Maintenance Dispatch Facility
Members of base leadership, project partners and contractors participate in a groundbreaking ceremony July 23, 2019, at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. The groundbreaking commemorated the beginning of construction of a Missile Maintenance Dispatch Facility. The facility will also be used to provide office space for managing and planning maintenance activity, storage for components and equipment for the missile field, shop space for component repair and testing, and keep vehicles out of the weather to facilitate preparation for dispatch and recovery. The dispatch facility will be a critical part in accomplishing the mission in a northern tier climate, as it protects equipment and personnel. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Jacob M.
