WIT DAF Diversity and Inclusion Team Innovation Award
The Air Force Women’s Initiative Team presented with the Department of the Air Force Diversity and Inclusion Team Innovation Award at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, October 2020. WIT accomplishments include creating the Department of Defense pregnancy policy allowing pregnant and postpartum Airmen to participate in professional military education, driving the initiative that authorized braids and ponytails for female Airmen in uniform, and updating the service’s aviator height standard to allow for greater diversity amongst pilots.
