Colorado representative staffers visit F.E. Warren

Joe Jackson, deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Representative Ken Buck, Colorado's 4th District, photographs wind turbines in the missile field aboard a 37th Helicopter Squadron U1-N1 "Huey" above Colorado, Aug. 10, 2023. Jackson was one of three staffers who visited the 90th Missile Wing to learn more about the intercontinental ballistic missile mission, as well as the challenges posed by wind turbines in the missile field. Wind turbines currently encroach upon 46 ICBM facilities, and a legislative proposal currently being considered would help prevent futher encroachment on other facilities and help ensure the security of the mission.
