Precision in Motion: 90th Missile Wing Sucessfully Executes Unarmed Minuteman III Test Launch

Acting Secretary of the Air Force Gary Ashworth watches as an operational test launch of an Air Force Global Strike Command unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile approaches its designated impact point near the Kwajalein Atoll after launching from Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif., Feb. 19, 2025. Fired at 1 a.m. Pacific Time, the unarmed missile traveled 4,200 miles at speeds reaching 15,000 miles per hour before striking its target area in the Pacific Ocean.
